Having spent a month in the France's La Côte d'Azur exploring light and colour, I subsequently created studies responding to my environment; the colour and texture of the old town's buildings and the ever changing skies. It was an uplifting time of independence, having the ability to travel and work abroad for a month away from the UK's monotonous grey. I wanted the studies to carry that sense of freedom and playfulness. I very much wanted to capture 'a moment' and a subsequent feeling, hence the title is reflective of a date, within my timeline; captured only then and there.
